Owen debuted with the Spokane Symphony Orchestra at age 18 as winner of the Warsaw Piano Competition.  After completing his master’s degree in Piano Performance at Western Washington University, he entered the United States Air Force Band Program performing works such as Rhapsody in Blue, the Grieg Piano Concerto and the Warsaw Concerto throughout the U.S., and in Canada and Europe.  Some of his more notable performances were for:  John Denver, Neil Armstrong, Good Morning America, Jimmy Doolittle, The Tuskegee Airmen, The Navaho Code Talkers, and The Grand ole Opry, to name a few. Of special note was Owen’s performance as featured soloist performing at the G8 Summit of World Leaders hosted by First Lady Hillary Clinton in Denver.  Owen has been teaching all piano styles to all ages for over 40 years.  He has had remarkable success with students who have special needs such as ADD and Autism.  Owen currently teaches at Music & Arts at 2872 N Powers Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO.  Check out Owen’s YouTube Channel: @owenpiano88
